My current vision for this blog is to provide information on inexpensive eco-friendly options for people who want to improve their home lifestyle without investing in expensive new stuff. If going environmental means generating more waste for landfills, progress is not being made. Likewise, if it requires a spare room to grow your own wheatgrass, it will not happen (and would produce the country’s most expensive loaf of bread).

Also, I am personally curious about what is being done in other countries by other homeowners and what kind of affordable technologies are available. After I learned that Finlanders don’t use North American style laundry dryers – they hang their clothes to dry in a sauna instead – I am wondering what else is done differently in other modern urban societies.

My plan is to share this info with you as I discover it. Some of it will certainly be more energy-wise and often well-designed to boot!
